8x10" oil on copper.  Framed in black with gold details, this frame features dimensionally stable state-of-the-art polymer resin construction. The smooth black finish is enclosed in a 'bird's foot' antique gold accent—elegantly understated.
 
Winter light glances off the frozen wetlands, catching the frost and making the water glow. The copper surface highlights that subtle luminosity. In painting this, I wanted to convey the serene, almost silent quality of the season.
